As the leading expert in treatment of testicular retraction in adults, Dr. Kavoussi published a study revealing an anatomic difference in men with this bothersome testicular retraction. He was invited to write a commentary on this study in Andrology Open Access journal. The finding was a thickened cremaster muscle in men with testicular retraction compared to men without retraction. This demonstrates that there is an anatomic difference in men with retraction. The question of the chicken or the egg still remains. Does the muscle thicken due to repetitive retraction episodes or is it thickened that causes the retraction? This is still undetermined.
