Kavoussi Family Outstanding Teacher Award given to Dr. Marc Goldstein

At the annual American Society for Reproductive Medicine annual scientific meeting and expo, the Kavoussi Family Outstanding Teacher Award is given to a teacher in reproductive medicine.  The teacher who is awarded this scholarship is recognized as an outstanding educator in reproductive medicine.  The award is made possible through an educational endowment from members of the Kavoussi family.

At the 2017 ASMR meeting, the award went to Dr. Marc Goldstein, professor of reproductive medicine and urology at Cornell Medical College in New York.  Dr. Goldstein is well known for his pioneering work in vasectomy reversals and he has authored multiple scientific journal articles and textbook chapters on vasectomy reversal.

Dr. Parviz Kavoussi states, “I was thrilled that Dr. Goldstein received this award.  He has contributed to the advancement of reproductive urology and has taught and trained a large number of reproductive urologists in the U.S.  It is an honor to be able to contribute this award to a teacher every year, as none of us would be here without our teachers”
